Press review :
The most surprising thing is the new and remarkably versatile sound of his banjo as
for once, it has been freed of its old clichés.
Concerto (Germany)
The contrasts come through in the remarkably artistic jam rifts and solos that
emanate from Guy Donis banjo.
Mittelgabrische Zeitung (Germany)
Guy Donis banjo has become a one-man band!
La Wallonie (Belgium)
Having lived in Quebec for nearly three years, banjo virtuoso Guy Donis has
established a solid reputation in the Quebec music scene through his collaborations
with Chloé Sainte-Marie, Pierre Flynn (and others). He composes all of the music
for the trio's repertoire, effortlessly weaving together the rich colours of jazz,
classical and traditional music. Always full of surprises, Donis creates new and
multifaceted sounds that free his instrument of all the classic clichés.
