Eric Thom, Penguin Eggs

«He and his band just kicked my ass and left my audience with their jaws in their laps»

Matt Large, Hello Darlin'Productions

«Excellent Album» Dan Behrman, Radio-Canada

Although he grew up listening to jazz and classical music and later immersed himself in folk and bluegrass, the music Guy Donis creates with his collaborators is one of a kind.

Marie-Soleil Bélanger on violin and Solon McDade on Bass add their talent as musicians but also as composers for a trio that is really a three persons collaboration rather than a leader hiring musicians.

We’re talking music that is surprising, exhilarating, amusing, toe-tapping, thundering, startling, enchanting, heart-warming, rousing and, above all... unexpected!

What they said:

Toss out your preconceptions about the banjo because you've not heard the instrument shine in its proper light until you've heard what this Belgian Born Montrealer has done with it... Donis delivers on an instrumental masterpiece that's as jaw-dropping as it is unforgettable Eric Thom, Penguin Eggs
